Professor David Dickson is Professor Emeritus of History at Trinity College, Dublin. He has published widely on Irish History and in particular, on Irish economic and social history.

His much-acclaimed book on Cork and South Munster, 1630-1830, was published in 2005. Among many other books, his The First Irish Cities, was published by Yale University Press last year. David will speak on ‘The Economic Transformation of Eighteenth-Century Kerry’.
