Owen O'Shea is a historian and author of several books on his native Kerry, including No Middle Path: The Civil War in Kerry and Ballymacandy: The Story of a Kerry Ambush. His research on the 1923 general election features in Vying for Victory, recently published by UCD Press.
Owen recently completed a PhD at University College Dublin, focusing on politics and elections in Kerry in the decade after the Civil War. He works as Media, Communications and Customer Relations Officer with Kerry County Council.
