Charles Lysaght

Charles Lysaght, biographer and barrister, edited a collection of Irish obituaries from the London Times which included their memorable one on Daniel O'Connell. Born in Dublin in 1941, educated at Gonzaga, University College Dublin and Christ's College Cambridge, he lectured in law at London University and King's Inns, of which he is an honorary bencher.

He was a legal adviser to the Department of Foreign Affairs and counsel to the Law Reform Commission. His biography of Brendan Bracken was published in 1980. He writes on legal and historical subjects for newspapers and learned journals.
