Professor Patrick Geoghegan is the Director of the Trinity Long Room Hub, Trinity's flagship Arts and Humanities Research Institute.
The author of an acclaimed two-volume study of Daniel O'Connell, King Dan and Liberator, he organised a major international conference in Trinity in July to mark the 250th anniversary of the Liberator's birth. He presents the award-winning Talking History on Newstalk and was a special adviser to Taoiseach Leo Varadkar between 2017 and 2020.
