Chris Maguire is Craft Gardener, Derrynane National Historic Park. He trained at Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand and completed a bilateral exchange to Uppsala at the Swedish University of Agricultural Science.

He was a student park ranger at Whakanewha regional park, Waiheke, New Zealand and contract manager, Whanganui city parks, New Zealand. He was appointed site foreman, Bason Botanic Gardens, Whanganui, New Zealand and since July 2018, has worked in Derrynane.
